18U Team Tryouts and Looking for Player Notices

A player's league age is determined by the player's age on April 30th.

Great Lakes Arsenal 18U

Team Info:In 2014, we plan to play in 6 or 7 high exposure college tournaments in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. We will play at great venues such as UofM, MSU, Notre Dame, Wayne State and Cincinnati universities.

Our focus is to get our players ready for the collegiate level thru hard work, dedication and respect.

We will have offseason indoor workouts planned as well as instruction available for hitting, pitching and catching.

Lakes Area Dodgers 18U

Team Info:The Lakes Area Dodgers have a 14 year history. Our goal is to ready our players for the collegiate level.

This team's sole purpose is to expose 16/17/18 year olds to collegiate baseball. We will play both Division 1 and 2 Junior Colleges (Michigan, Ohio and Illinois). There will be no practices.

Livingston Storm 18U

Team Info:Tournament team that will play in 7 high quality tournaments during the 2014 summer season, all in held Michigan to reduce travel costs. No league. Low player fee.

Looking to add a catcher and pitchers to finalize 2014 roster. Pitchers only will have reduced player fee and flexible schedule.

Team Info:College showcase team designed to get the players as much exposure as possible in front of the scouts and coaches.

We play in the MATBL and 7 highly scouted tournaments around the country.

Motor City Prospects 18U

Team Info:The goal of Motor City Prospects is to take players in this state and mold them into better ballplayers.

Former major league player/ longtime coaches Von Joshua and Dick Pole will teach them the correct way pro coaches expect things to be done.

We have a small indoor facility located at 12592 Inkster Rd. in Redford that we hold private lessons at.

Our in game pitching coach/manager of our 22u team is Ron Way, a former pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization who works with our pitchers in the winter.

Motor City Prospects plan on 8 to 10 tournaments and fall ball.

We will also be planning private tournaments so that scouts may attend and see our players in action against teams that they are affiliated with.

Ward Elliott is a coach/recruiter for Motor City Prospects and is an associate scout with the Chicago Cubs under area supervisor Tim Adkins.

Our players are giving a $100 monthly special of 20 hours of private cage time per month during the off season to hit. That is just $5 per hour for cage time.

We have a high quality pitching machine that throws fastball, curve, sliders from both right and left arm angles.
Tryout Notes:We offer private tryouts/workouts at our facility or at a field near the area. If we do not feel we have room for you on our roster then we will still work with you to get better and help you prepare.
Looking for position players: 1 catcher, 1 infielder, & 1 outfielder. Also looking for 4 pitcher only players.

Oakland Whitecaps 18U

Team Info:The Oakland Whitecaps just completed its 8th season of competitive travel baseball. Our goal is to ready our players for the collegiate level.

The purpose of the Oakland Whitecaps is to give exposure to 17/18 year olds that will lead them to the collegiate level.

We will compete in 7 high-level tournaments with as many as 4-5 being out of state.
Tryout Notes:Private workouts; we are not having tryouts. The Oakland Whitecaps are looking to add 2-3 elite level players to fill needs in the outfield and pitching.
